Hi all

Yeap i'm still alive.

and yeah, i know... cobwebs, dust, what-nots piling up here...

but i hardly even got time for enough sleep nowadays... and fyp always leaves me drained at the end of the day. even before my 1.5 hour bus ride home, which leaves me even more exhausted. esp on weds and fridays when my experiments are on-going.

death-toll today: 90. and this time i had a hand in it. those who know what i'm talking about, good. those not, don't bother asking. i don't think i'll want to be explaining anything. haha.

add that and i get 3 days a week of hard-labour. that leaves only the weekends for my readings... which i never get around to doing... those are really piling up, and my boss is not happy. haha. i just found out on monday what she really expects. and that is a long long long way from where i am now.

drats....

6 more months to go..... wondering how to survive this already....

start of a new phase

yeap my "sufferings", as neko puts it, is over.

actually over for a week now.... haha...

BUT, no hols.... :(

cos FYP started on monday. apparently, i can't start my experiments till next month due to some reasons, so for the whole of may, i got to read n read n read n read n read....

zzz....

n i take forever to complete my readings...

i'm starting to feel VERY stupid... i think my sup thinks the same way too... haha.. but she's a really nice lady, and she's been very helpful n understanding. i'm really glad for that.

the culture at gsk is very friendly. i really like it there if not for the amount of readings i need to do. haha... the only thing that got me worried for a while was the monthly team meeting that we have, which took place on my very first day at gsk.

yes, imagine, being new to a company, and being called in for a 2 hour long meeting on your very first day. where everyone in the room had a powerpoint presentation to do. and you can't even understand 50% of it.

i was like, what the f**k....

haha... but thankfully, my sup called me in to prep me on that yesterday. basically the monthly meeting was a wrap up of what we have done each month, so the boss knows what we're doing, and the rest knows what everybody else is doing.

and from what little i could make out of the meeting, everybody's work is related in some way or other, at least within the team that is.

and thankfully, my sup is so nice, that she's prepared to do reviews with me every month before the team meeting on the presentation i prepare. and from what i observed on my first day, she's really going to guide me all the way till the last day. phew.....

ok, tmr first day in the lab! though i can't do experiments yet, i can at least watch! so exciting!!
