i was bored over the weekend so i re-read this book i bought 2 years back. i found this part that i particularly liked:

the guy sent a huge bouquet of deep red roses to the girl's office. in it was a card with a quote:

But to see her was to love her,
Love but her, and love forever.
The girl sent an email in reply with another quote:
If I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more.
isn't that sweet? anyway, this is to all you couples out there, n for those who are still single, hope you find ur special someone soon ; )
Happy Valentine's Day! =)

chinese idiom: 欲速则不达
pronounciation: yu4 su4 ze2 bu4 da2 (for benefit of pple like zhehoung n deeps)
meaning: more haste, less speed

related story: chinese new year eve, rushing to get home. lesson that i know but never learnt: u always tend to forget things when u're rushing for time. so the best thing is to do is to pack ur stuff before-hand. so as usual, i was rushing, remembered i forgot to empty the bin, then my incomplete lab report, my bottle of perfume, etc. etc. etc. slung my bag, held close to half a dozen things in my hands, just about to lock my door................. crash, bottle of perfume broke to pieces, doorstep full of perfume n bits of glass, even my slippers n my shoes which i was just about to put on were covered with glass. = ( no choice, head back into the room, spent another half an hour or so cleaning up my doorstep n got home REALLY late.

post mortem: well in my hurry, i forgot that the box for my perfume was already koyak cos i crushed it in my bag sometime back. i was clutching the box but the bottom of the box gave way n the bottle slide out of the box. so there goes my bottle of perfume. time to get a new bottle. = (

k... hope this silly story brought some entertainment... n for those that dun already noe this chinese idiom, hope it'll be useful in the future.

Happy Lunar New Year! ; )
