NYJC going to change name to CCJC?? NO WAY!!!!

i got this mail from the current vice-principal of NY saying that school management com is considering changing the college's name to chung cheng junior college to show our affiliation to the 2 chung cheng schools. WHAT??? do that n erase our fond memories??!!!

"so what? it's just a name.." that's what some may say, then what's the fuss about changing NTU back to nanyang uni?? of cos the name matters... no offence meant to the 2 chung cheng schools... it's just that changing the college name to ccjc.... just sounds alien to me... the bonding to the school somehow weakens.

true, it's the same school, most of the teaches are the same, school motto might be the same, school is still in the same spot. but who noes if the school might move one day? n one day all the teachers in NY now will have to retire.... school motto might even change.... what'll be left of NYJC then? nothing....

u see, as time goes by, pple change, things change, pple come pple go.... the only thing that remains is the name... spirit lives because the name is there...if a person dies n is reborn with a new name, is he still the same person? if NY becomes CCJC, then the school spirit would be named "chung cheng spirit"... where's the NY spirit? gone with the wind i guess....

food for thought: 50 years down the road, when all of us grow old n all our hair turn white, we only have our memories to hang on to.. but when that day comes, will we still be able to say proudly with a smile that we were from NYJC? or would pple be asking us what NYJC was?

what a lot of crap i have today... haha.. :P oh well... whatever... i say no to changing our college name. PERIOD. hahaha ;)

i guess the study they did on the rats is true. the one on increased preference of junk food when one is subjected to stress. i just downed a whole bar of chocolates though i promised myself just one cube at first. that's six times the initial amount. sigh..... i realise i'm perpetually eating nowadays. it'll be a wonder if i dun put on at least 3kg by the end of exams. i won't be surprised if i gain 5... not like i'm slim and petite like dione in the first place. i'm already FAT as it is... :( i think i have to do something to stop myself eating like this or i'll die of overeating or something before the exams are even over. or worse... i might EXPLODE like the idiot downstairs said... humph.... bleahz!!!

Argh!!! i wan to stop nuahing, i wan to start mugging like crazy.... but i just can't get myself to do it properly :( think i'm going to screw up this sem :'( And to make it worse... i think i'm falling sick soon:'(
